Yes, I finally have my own website with my name Sosh Howell. I am sticking some of my old tools there like the Google Rank Tool and new tools like the Cas or Car Tool. I've got a lot more small projects I'll be releasing soon.

I've also been working in Atlanta, optimizing Grill Parts and gas fire rings, good times in the backyard.

Recently I've been lookin at Google Local. Straight Edge Painting (828)-275-0352 for Asheville Painting seems to be my main target at the moment for seeing if I can get good placement. I'll keep you posted on how things turn out. Phone numbers and addresses seem to help best.

I've now been looking at Download Free Music which has a result set of around 1M where as Download Music has about 5M. It seems that the bigger one should be more competitive. We shal find out.

Listen to free music online

Once again I'm looking into the listen to free music section of JBA and I am trying to decide what to listen to. Artists can now upload mucic for free so that makes for quite a good selection in my opinion. Also MNB is having some good Email Newsletter Temlplates right now which can be very useful for getting in touch with your clients.

Newsletter Templates and Template Examples

Recently I've been working on Newsletter Templates and Template Examples form MNB. This has been hard as I am thinking there is more competition form Newsletter templates now. Yahoo is starting to respond well and MSN of course but I think that google will be a little bit of work. Its been hard to also include other words such as e newsletter marketing and such. I've also been looking into link exhange programs, especially for those of common categories. We'll see how that goes.

MNB and JBA are still in trouble. newsletter templates software still showing in the 50's for MNB, though Upload Music is starting to recover. We shall see though, we shall see. In other News Lindy Focus 4 Asheville is sure to be a great event. I am really looking forward to it.

Lindy Focus (IV) 4 Asheville is happening. This is great news for all. The past has had huge turn outs for the lindy focus events, but this year Lindy Hop will be happy for the LF4 new years party. Swing in the New Year!

Upload Music

Suddenly have had JBA completely drop out of Upload Music. This seems to be a unexplained since it was something like number 3 prior to this drop.

Atlanta Lindy Hop is at 214 today with Dance Lindy. Hopfully that can get a little bit better since it is definately relevant.

The new webfooted section incuding the keyword tracker will hopefuly be done in a week, so stay tuned.

My Newsletter Builder

I've just noticed a significant drop in the rankings of My Newsletter Builder for terms such as newsletter templates and Newsletter Software. This I think may be a backlash from the dead links that have been on the site for some time. We've just recently taken a look at the problem and created a robots.txt file that should solve the problem. In the mean time I need to get as many links from off server sites as I can.

Google still seems to be having a problem caching a lot of the index pages on the server. I think that this problem will fix its self with time. Doing a search, though for site:www.webfooted.net traffic does return Web Footed Traffic stats.

Problems with JBA

I have recently had problems with JBA and listen to music. As well I have had problems with My Newsletter Builder. For MNB it was an issue of repeditive data, in this case a site newsletter-builder.com was the exact same site. For JBA it is a little bit more complex. First we had the meta tags disapear, then replaced with a solution that might have made things worse, and now a real solution that will hopefully fix things. An interesting thing though, JBA and MNB do not have cached versions of the page sitting on google. So google doesnt like, google doesnt cache.

Atom Blog Main Page Test

Google Reading not executing JS?

Google may not be executing js but they are reading things that open on the page even if there display is set to none after the page loads and js is executed.

My Newsletter Builder

The My Newsletter Builder site has fallen for two reasons. One google changed their algo and two, the site was down for a day or so. These two things have hit MNB pretty badly but now there are some new things that should make a difference. One is a new front page and two is the use of the newsletter displays.

Finally the Google Page Rank has updated. I think its been about six months since the last one. Dance Lindy and Hot Stone Massage Video both jumped up to fives. Congrads to them. WebFooted remaians a four and in a week I'll be taking a look as to why that is so.

IP Blocks A few Results

A few results are in from the previous tests... Hot Stone Massage Video has seen an increase in traffic from yahoo according to the Traffic Monitor , we'll see if the others follow suit.

I'm now testing the strength of linking from both outside IP blocks and RSS feeds. To do this I am using the site Hot Stone Massage Video as one of the tests. As of the date there are no other links from other IP blocks. Lets see how it does.

Sandbox Theory

Sandbox theory is a new idea thats shooting around the SEO forums. Basicly its come up to explain why new sites take so long to get listed in Google searches. Its saying that new sites and new links take a while to kinda sift through all the other sites, to find its relevancy. I've notices in dealing with searhes sush as traffic reports that MSN will pich up a search quicker than Google will, so I've even seen the evidence first hand. In such cases I've seen google pick similiar results just a few months later.

Exit Points

I've recently come across a new idea which I implemented on the WebFooted Traffic Monitor earlier this evening; Exit Points: the last paged viewed by a user before they leave a site.

What can exit points give you? They can show you the week points in the sites, pages that are boring enough to leave and go somewhere else.

This can also tell you where to focus your energy with concerns to your website. If the Exit Points are deep in the site then you don't need to worry about the page flow and you should think more about SEO, but if they're running away from your main page, then forget getting new traffic, you need to get better at hooking what you've got.
